Food for thought

Food for thought
There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your
dreams and hug them for real!
When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us.
Don’t go for looks; they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.
Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you
want to do.
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow
to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.
The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of
everything that comes along their way.
Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can’t go on well in life
until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you’re the one who is smiling and everyone around you is
crying

The 50-Percent Theory of Life

I believe in the 50-percent theory. Half the time things are better than normal; the other half, they are worse. I believe life is a pendulum swing. It takes time and experience to understand what normal is, and that gives me the perspective to deal with the surprises of the future.
Let's benchmark the parameters: Yes, I will die. I've dealt with the deaths of both parents, a best friend, a beloved boss and cherished pets. Some of these deaths have been violent, before my eyes, or slow and agonizing. Bad stuff, and it belongs at the bottom of the scale.
Then there are those high points: romance and marriage to the right person; having a child and doing those Dad things like coaching my son's baseball team, paddling around the creek in the boat while he's swimming with the dogs, discovering his compassion so deep it manifests even in his kindness to snails, his imagination so vivid he builds a spaceship from a scattered pile of Legos.
But there is a vast meadow of life in the middle, where the bad and the good flip-flop acrobatically. This is what convinces me to believe in the 50-percent theory.
One spring I planted corn too early in a bottomland so flood-prone that neighbors laughed. I felt chagrined at the wasted effort. Summer turned brutal -- the worst heat wave and drought in my lifetime. The air-conditioner died, the well went dry, the marriage ended, the job lost, the money gone. I was living lyrics from a country tune -- music I loathed. Only a surging Kansas City Royals team, bound for their first World Series, buoyed my spirits.
Looking back on that horrible summer, I soon understood that all succeeding good things merely offset the bad. Worse than normal wouldn't last long. I am owed and savor the halcyon times. They reinvigorate me for the next nasty surprise and offer assurance that I can thrive. The 50 percent theory even helps me see hope beyond my Royals' recent slump, a field of struggling rookies sown so that some year soon we can reap an October harvest.
Oh, yeah, the corn crop? For that one blistering summer, the ground moisture was just right, planting early allowed pollination before heat withered the tops, and the lack of rain spared the standing corn from floods. That winter my crib overflowed with corn -- fat, healthy three-to-a-stalk ears filled with kernels from heel to tip -- while my neighbors' fields yielded only brown, empty husks.
Although plantings past may have fallen below the 50-percent expectation, and they probably will again in the future, I am still sustained by the crop that flourishes during the drought.

The Tools of the Trade

As a fighter, the tools you will use in your craft will be simple; weapons, armor, and food. Of course, you don’t need all of those things, or even any of them. You can become a pretty effective fighter just by kicking, punching, or bashing your way through the world of Runescape, all the while wearing no more armor than the clothes your character of your runescape accounts started with. Of course, you won’t last very long against most monsters, and you will die a lot, but it can be done.
Most people don’t go this route. For obvious reasons (Not the least of which is that it’s far more fun) most of us want the armor, the weapons, the helmets, the amulets… all the cool stuff we can get by runescape gold, right?
Great. We want these things. If you have lot of runescape money, you can buy it. Unfortunately, we can’t use them all. And even if we limit ourselves to the ones we can use, there are still lots of choices. Do you want to use a scimitar? A war hammer? A long sword? Which one does more damage? Which one is faster? Which one is best against skeletons, or wizards, or giants? And what about armor. What should you use? Plate armor? Ahain mail? Leather? Nothing? Which is best? Why?
A lengthy discussion of the benefits of each individual type of weapon and armor isn’t found in this guide because it wouldn’t be all that helpful anyway. (If you are interested in the statistics and benefits of each piece of armor or each type of weapon, You can come runescape guide to find our your answer! It provides all the necessary stats.)
you will be told the weapons and armor to use, and when to use it. You can choose your own, of course, but to make things quicker, this guide chooses for you buy runescape accounts. Let’s get started with some basics. One of the main screens you need to be aware of when you train your melee combat is the combat screen.

Reflection on life

What!ˉs life and what should we do in our whole lives? It has being a question down the ages. Just several days ago, a friend younger than me told me he was wondering what life was and did not know the goal of life. His question also re-taught me something about life. In the past few days, I am always trying my best to forget something, because I think it is an effective way to keep enthusiasm for life. Maybe there are some persons and some things that we think we can never forget but one day we finally find they are no longer in our memory. In my opinion, life is just akin to a train. There are always some people coming and some people leaving. We have no idea when they will come and when they will go. Some persons promised they would stay with us to the end and we should know there is a chance that they may leave with no auspice. Confronted with this fact what should we do? Perhaps we will be sad but that is not what we should do. No matter what we do he or she won!ˉt come back. What we should do is to be happier and do what we should do. I once read an article about life and it says that life is just like dramatic. I also agree with it. In fact we are always playing a character of the dramatic. In the dramatic of life no one can experience it with himself. In our own life we should be the leading role of ourselves. The idea of it varies form one person to another. For different persons, it has different meanings. But what we know is that life is very short and we should hold fast to it, treasure what we have and forget what does not belong to us. Only by this way, can we live a wonderful life. P.S. I like the song one-way street of Wangfei, because I think the lyric explain life well. Maybe I can not express my ideas accurately because of my poor English but I also appreciate the opportunity to reflect on our life.

How the Elephant got his trunk

How the Elephant got his trunk Once upon a time, there was a sad elephant. He was dirty and stinky, because he could not
reach to wash his back. All the other animals didn’t play with him because he was smelly. Elephant sat under a tree, where nobody could see him. He started to cry. His head was hanging
down, crying big tears. He sat and cried for days. One day, when his tears had dried up, he went
to itch his head and he felt a bump on his back. Then he noticed his nose had stretched because it
had got wet with all the crying and it was now a long trunk which had hit him on his back. He went to the river and got his trunk, put it in the water and sucked the water up. Then he
sprayed his back with water. All the other animals came over to him and said “you are so clean and smell so lovely. Do you
want to play with us?” The elephant was so happy and said “yes.”

Relinquish you next life

You said you will love me the whole life, but you marry her. You said you will come to marry me,
but this will not be carried out forever.I am trying my best to forget you and do not love you anymore. But I failed and I still love you. Maybe, she needs you more compared with me. So I tell you that you should love her and take good
care of her. You said I was so kind. Yes, because I love you, I hope you will be happy forever.
You could see my words on the screen, but you could not see my tears fallen on the keyboard.I promise to myself, I will forget you and not love you anymore. But you know it is not an easy
thing. I can not fall in love with anyone else. That is why I refuse the boys who tell me love
you. I do not want to have a boyfriend any longer. I once promised you I would wait for you till I
get MBA. I will obey my promise. If we still can not be together, I will marry.I can not fall asleep and look back on things that have happened between us. Missing your smile,
your embrace and you kiss. I don’t know why I have fallen in love with you and I don’t want to
know. That is unimportant. What is important is that I love you, once, now and in the future. I
can’t give up you till the next life.Ps: Maybe there are some grammatical errors and I could not express myself well. But my dear,
please remember I love you .Whenever you are unhappy I will be with you.

Life

There is someone that is coming or passing away in your life around the clock, so you may lose sight of those seen, and forget those remembered. There is gain and loss in your life, so you may catch sight of those unseen, and remember those forgotten. Nevertheless, doesn‘t the unseen exist for sure? Will the remembered remain forever?
